Following the footsteps of other FLOGEN award recipients who have subsequently achieved further recognition, Hon. Stephane Dion, was appointed as Canada's Special Envoy to Armenia in addition to his existing role as Ambassador to Germany and Special Envoy to the European Union and Europe.
