Since 2007 he is Chairman of FLOGEN STAR OUTREACH (www.flogen.org), a not-for-profit organization dedicated to (1) achieving sustainability through science and technology, (2) raising the profile of science and engineering in the society and (3) properly honoring scientists and engineers.

Since 2003 Dr Kongoli has been President of the Organizing Committee of the Sustainable Industrial Processing Summits (SIPS) held every year in several countries around the world with an average participation of 500 authors from academia, industry, government and the entrepreneurship world representing an average of 80 countries.

Dr Kongoli has about 25 years of rich scientific and applied technology experience through direct involvement in numerous invited engagements in all continents. He has managed, involved, or actively participated in about 200 projects, 40 types of reactors, 10 industries, in 45 countries and in 6 continents. Dr. Kongoli has published 113 books and more than 200 scientific articles. He has delivered in numerous countries around the world about 220 plenary, keynote and invited presentations as well as articles, technical reports and research presentations. He has served in many leadership positions in national and international organizations and in many Professional Award Councils such as the Industrial Achievement Award Committee of International Federation of Automatic Control. He is Editorial Board member of several International Journals.

He is an elected Honorary Member of the Lorraine Academy of Sciences and Elected Member of Euro Mediterranean Academy of Arts and Sciences. He was awarded in 2017 the title "The Environmental Tech CEO of the year 2017" by CEO-Monthly UK magazine. He was awarded Certificate of Appreciation in recognition of his contribution toward sustainable development through FLOGEN Sustainability Framework by Tomas Bata University in Zlin (Czech Republic)/Faculty of Applied Informatics. He is honorary Citizen of Rio de Janeiro and Laureate of Gold Medal of the City of Nancy, France. In 2022 he was honored by the Congressman elect of Rio de Janeiro State, Alan Lopes, who will propose to the State Congress to adopt FLOGEN Sustainability Framework developed by Dr. Florian Kongoli in the state law for evaluating any proposed public or private project in the state. Also, in 2022 he was invited to give the Opening Sustainability Plenary Lecture at the United Nation Headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland, on 11 February 2022 about FLOGEN Sustainability Framework at the International Year of Glass 2022.

Co-Chair of AFSInternational, Hunter has his finger on the pulse of international business, focusing on Latin America.

Hunter regularly advises clients in foreign and domestic arbitration and has served as an arbitrator appointed by the International Chamber of Commerce. Hunter also excels at leading domestic and international internal corporate investigations, with an emphasis on anti-corruption for multinational corporations. A recognized leader in the field, he often instructs corporate clients on global compliance.

A vigorous advocate, his work includes human rights. Hunter is one of the most
active lawyers in the hemisphere in cases pursuing marriage equality.

Hunter is a leader in international legal activities. He serves on the New York City Bar's Council on International Affairs, and New York City Bar's Committee for the Vance Center for International Justice. He has chaired the New York City Bar Committee on Inter-American Affairs. He serves as a founding board and executive member of Global Americans, an innovative Latin America-focused think tank. Hunter periodically teaches at Latin American law schools and at conferences on anti-corruption compliance, international arbitration, and human rights litigation.

Hunter is also active in the field of attorney responsibility and legal ethics, speaking at conferences and serving two terms as a member of the New York State Bar Ethics Committee, as well as serving as chair of the ethics committee of the New York Intellectual Property Law Association, and the ethics partner for the firm's New York office.

Hunter has been consistently recognized as one of the Top 100 Lawyers in Latin America by Latinvex. He is a multiple award-winning advocate for the LGBTI+ community.

Ian Freckelton has been a Judge of the Supreme Court of Nauru since 2017 and has been a member of eleven statutory tribunals at both Commonwealth and State level in Australia.

He is also King’s Counsel (a senior barrister / trial lawyer) in full time practice as a barrister throughout Australia and has been briefed in New Zealand, Thailand, Singapore and Papua New Guinea. He was admitted to the Bar in 1988 and took Silk in 2007. His practice is trial, appellate and advisory.

He is a Professor of Law and a Professorial Fellow in Psychiatry at the University of Melbourne, and an Honorary Professor of Forensic Medicine at Monash University and an Adjunct Professor at the Auckland University of Technology in New Zealand, and the Queensland University of Technology, La Trobe University and Southern Cross University in Australia. He has also been an Adjunct Professor at Johns Hopkins University in the United States, teaching in its research integrity programme. He was the Commissioner at the Victorian Law Reform Commission which resulted in Australia’s first legislation legalising medicinal cannabis and is a Board member of the Coronial Council of Victoria.

Ian is the only person to elected as a Fellow of three learned Academies in Australia: the Academies of Health and Medical Sciences; Social Sciences; and Law, and is also an Honorary Fellow of the Australasian College of Legal Medicine. He is the co-chair of the Education Committee of the World Association of Medicine and Law.

Since 1992 Ian has been the Editor of the Journal of Law and Medicine and is also the Founding Editor of Psychiatry, Psychology and Law and a former President of the Australian Association of Psychiatry, Psychology and Law. He was a member of the Mental Health Tribunal of Victoria for 25 years, including for a time as its Acting President.

Ian has received awards for his pro bono and human rights work, and has been awarded challenge medals of appreciation by four of Australia’s police forces for his representation of their members.

Ian is the author of over 750 published articles and chapters of books, as well as more than 50 books, including the 1,500 page Expert Evidence: Law, Practice and Procedure (7th edn, Thomson Reuters, 2024), COVID-19 and the Law (OUP 2023), Australian Public Health Law (Federation Press, 2023) and Scholarly Misconduct and the Law (OUP, 2017). He is currently finalising a new edition of Coronial Law and Medicine, and is also completing a book on Automatism with co-authors in England, Sweden and New Zealand. He has given more than 800 scholarly presentations in nearly 50 countries. He is acknowledged as Australia’s leading scholar on medico-legal issues.

In 2021 Ian was appointed an Officer of the Order of Australia (AO) for “distinguished service to the law and the legal profession, across fields including health, science and technology”, and in 2024 he was awarded its highest honour by the International Academy of Law and Mental Health, the Prix Philippe Pinel.

Yoshihisa Hayakawa serves as a professor of law at Rikkyo University, Tokyo. He also teaches and researches in a number of foreign universities including Columbia University, Cornell University, QM College of University of London and Australian National University. He also serves as a partner at Uryu & Itoga, Tokyo. He serves as a counsel in many cases of transnational litigation and international commercial arbitration as well as serving as an arbitrator in many arbitration cases. He also serves as a representative from Japan for a number of inter-governmental organizations including UNCITRAL, APEC and Hague Conference on PIL. And he serves as President of Japan National Committee of UIA, Japanese Member for Commission on Arbitration and ADR of ICC and Japanese Member of Users Council of SIAC.

Barbora Jedlickova is a Senior Lecturer at the TC Beirne School of Law, the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia. She specialises in competition law, with principal research interests in competition-law theories, competition law in the digital economy and comparative competition law. She has published extensively both nationally and internationally. She is a member of a number of national and international associations. Barbora’s research has focused on various topics including cartels, exclusionary conduct, vertical restraints, bargaining power, and economic and jurisprudential theories and arguments in competition law. Her research also includes the analysis of specific markets with distinctive issues, such various digital markets, the grocery retail market, the pharmaceutical market and the telecommunications market.

In the principal areas of her work, her focus has been aimed at enriching and challenging existing theories and introducing new ways of thinking which would better fit the digital economy we live in and which would better serve social justice and a prosperous, sustainable economy. For instance, she has been referring to and applying bargaining power when analysing vertical restraints, arguing for the recognition of bargaining power in connection with vertical restraints and abuse of ‘market’ power in competition law and policy. She is also interested in jurisprudential theories that could assist competition law. There is a scholarship gap in jurisprudential theories, which are needed (in addition to economic theories) to address various competition-law issues and better conceptualise competition law and its specific areas. She has been interested in both the deontological and consequentialist approaches to competition law and she has been exploring these in individual and collaborative projects.
Barbora holds degrees from the University of Glasgow in the UK (PhD in Law, 2012; and LL.M. with Commendation in International Competition Law and Policy, 2007) and from Masaryk University in the Czech Republic (2004).

Malcolm McNeil received an Arts Degree from Los Angeles city College, a Bachelor degree in management and administration from Antioch University and his juris doctor degree from Loyola Law school, Los Angeles. After passing the bar, McNeil opened his own law office focused on commercial matters and regulatory offenses matters brought by state and federal agencies.

McNeil has also been the chair of the international section of the Los Angeles county bar association. He has held a variety of positions with the American Bar Association including the chair of the China committee, vice chair of the Asia-Pacific committee, Vice chair of the international mediation committee, and liaison between the bar associations.

McNeil currently practices law as the international co-leader of the Arent Fox law firm. He is licensed to practice law in California and Washington DC. He is also admitted to the United States District Court for the northern, eastern, Central and Southern District of California, to the US Court of Appeals for the fifth and ninth circuit’s; the United States court of international trade (CIT) and the United States Supreme Court.

McNeil has been an adjunct professor for the University of Laverne School of Law.

Malcolm’s practice has included representation of clients in most forums, including a range of administrative forums, statewide and nationally. Known for his leadership and accomplishments, particularly for clients with business interests in China, Malcolm is a panel member on the Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration in the Beijing International Arbitration Commission. Malcolm also serves as the co-chair of Arent Fox's International Group.

Matt has worked extensively for multiple clients on steel trade dispute issues involving antidumping, countervailing duty, safeguards, and the recent 232 investigations. His work includes representing companies and governments in dispute proceedings, and organizing advocacy efforts before government agencies and Congress. He has worked for clients in Canada and Mexico (for both government and private sector clients) on issues related to NAFTA and WTO disputes. He has worked for major US and foreign corporations on export control and sanctions matters; section 301 investigations; customs audits and focused assessments; NAFTA verification audits by US, Mexican, and Canadian authorities; civil and criminal investigations on export, import, and FCPA issues; development, implementation, and audits of internal compliance programs; and advising on trade policy initiatives. He has also worked with companies in a range of industries, including softwood lumber, steel, oil exploration and production, chemical products, beverage and snack foods, life sciences, computer electronics, defense, airlines, textiles, tobacco, banking, telecommunications, and insurance.

Honorable Louise Otis is President of the Administrative Tribunal of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).

She is President of the Administrative Tribunal of the Organization Treaty of Atlantic North (NATO).

She is Member of the Panel of Independent Reviewers for the Administrative Review of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB).

She is a deputy judge of the Administrative Tribunal of the European Organisation for the Exploitation of Meteorological Satellites (EUMETSAT).

In 2020, the Secretary-General of the United Nations (UN) appointed Louise Otis to the Internal Justice Council (ICJ) of the Organization, who selects the Judges of the UN Tribunals and annually reviews the internal justice system and makes recommendations for its improvement.

She is a retired Justice of the Quebec Court of Appeal where she spearheaded the introduction of judicial mediation. She participated in over 3000 judgments in civil, commercial and criminal law. She has conducted over 1000 mediation sessions in commercial and civil law.

In 2021, she was appointed on the Panel of conciliators of the International Center For Settlement of Investments (ICSID).
Louise Otis has participated in international governance and justice reform missions with the United Nations (UN), International Monetary Fund (IMF), World Bank (WB),the International Finance Corporation (IFC) member of the World Bank Group (WB) and the Global Fund. Louise Otis was appointed by the United Nations Secretary-General to a 5-member Panel of independent international experts in charge of redesigning the United Nations system of administration of Justice.

She has created Front Line Justice (FLJ), a system of transitional justice for countries affected by conflicts and/or environmental disasters. The system was implemented in Haiti and Mali in 2012 and 2017 and is disseminated in the Rohingya camps.

She is a distinguished fellow of the International Academy of Mediators (IAM).

Daniel focuses his practice on electro-mechanical patent matters.
His practice includes preparing and prosecuting U.S., P.C.T. and foreign utility and design patent applications; patent office post-grant proceedings; strategic counseling and due diligence; managing complex patent prosecution dockets; conducting studies of patent validity and infringement; performing freedom-to-operate studies; and assisting with intellectual property licensing and litigation. He has expertise in a variety of fields, including automotive, medical devices, oil and gas, electronics, marine engines, turbines and consumer products. Daniel’s clients include Toyota, NICHIA, ExxonMobil, Ingenious Designs (IDL), VF Corporation, and a large financial services corporation, among others.

Daniel’s prior experience includes working as an electro-mechanical engineer for the Department of the Navy, serving as an officer in the United States Naval Reserve, and, while attending law school, working as a patent examiner at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in the mechanical arts.
