Prof. Tateo Usui, wins the 2020 "Iron and Steel Merit Award" by The Iron and Steel Institute of Japan (ISIJ)

Prof. Tateo Usui, Osaka University, Japan, was honored by FLOGEN with the 2019 Fray International Sustainability Award (Official Award Web site here and with the symposium in his honor: "Usui International Symposium on Advanced Sustainable Iron and Steel Making" at FLOGEN's 2019 Sustainable Industrial Processing Summit (SIPS 2019) in Paphos, Cyprus: (Official Web site here)

Following the footsteps of other FLOGEN award recipients who have subsequently achieved further recognition, Prof. Tateo Usui, was given the 2020 "Iron and Steel Merit Award" by The Iron and Steel Institute of Japan signed by its president Toshihiro Tanaka, for considerable contributions in the development of Japanese Steel Industry. This is a prestigious ISIJ award, whose previously has been given generally to presidents or vice presidents of steel companies.
