On-Site Practical Info

PRACTICAL INFORMATION FOR AUTHORS & ATTENDEES:

CURRENCY:
In the Philippines, the official currency is the Philippine Peso (PHP). US dollars are generally accepted for transactions in some places, but it's advisable to exchange your currency for Philippine Pesos for convenience. Currency exchange services are available at various locations, including airports, banks, and hotels.

BANKING AND CURRENCY EXCHANGE:
There are multiple options for currency exchange, including facilities at the airport, banks, and ATMs throughout Cebu Island. Most ATMs accept international cards and dispense cash in Philippine Pesos.

ELECTRICITY:
The Philippines operates on a 220V and 60Hz electrical system. Most plugs are of the two-flat-pin type (Type A) or the two-round-pin type (Type C). Travelers from countries using different plug types may need adapters. It's recommended to check your electronic devices for compatibility, ensuring they support the voltage and plug type used in the Philippines.
