Dr. Deepika Sharma is a distinguished researcher, scientist, and academician with over a decade of experience in nanobiotechnology. Her primary focus lies in leveraging nanotechnology for cancer therapy, particularly through magnetic hyperthermia. As a leader in this field, she has made significant contributions to advancing cancer treatments using magnetic hyperthermia, establishing a state-of-the-art research facility at the Institute of Nano Science & Technology (INST), under the Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India.
Dr. Sharma’s multidisciplinary research group is dedicated to exploring various innovative approaches in cancer therapy. Their work includes investigating natural anticancer bioactives through downstream processing, developing biochips that mimic tumor microenvironments, and studying barriers that affect treatment efficacy. Her team’s goal is to bridge the gap between scientific discovery and clinical application, ultimately accelerating the development of practical cancer therapies.
