< BackInternational Symposium on Agroforestry for Sustainable Development
Every year the planet loses 15 billion trees. And only 5 billion of them are replaced. A deficit of 10 billion trees. Should this rhythm be kept, within 300 years, there will be none left in the World.
Based on the above, the International Symposium on Agroforestry for Sustainable Development will present state-of-the-art technologies that enable Agroforestry projects to be highly scalable, applying Automation, Artificial Intelligence, Nanotechnology and other innovations.
One of the areas covered among many others, will be applying Syntropic Systems in Agroforestry. Syntropia - or syntropy - refers to the tendency of systems to increase in order, organization, and structure. It is the opposite of entropy, which is the tendency towards disorder and disorganization. A syntropic system is a dissipative structure that arises in response to chaos or entropy, in order to offer a solution through a structural reorganization.
Topics of the symposium will include but will not be limited to :
- Syntropic Systems
- Advanced Automation Techniques for Agroforestry Management
- Harnessing Artificial Intelligence for Optimal Agroforestry Planning
- Nanotechnology Applications in Soil Enhancement for Agroforestry Systems
- Integrating Remote Sensing and GIS Technologies for Agroforestry Monitoring
- Bioengineering Solutions for Sustainable Crop Production in Agroforestry
- Agroforestry Models for Climate Resilience and Adaptation
- Socio-Economic Impacts of Syntropic Agroforestry Systems
- Innovative Financing Mechanisms for Scaling Up Agroforestry Initiatives
- Community Engagement Strategies for Successful Agroforestry Implementation
- Policy Frameworks to Promote Syntropic Agroforestry for Sustainable Development
