Short Bio:

After receiving its Engineering Degree from the National Graduate School of Chemistry in Clermont-Ferrand (France), Jérémy Chaulet carried out his PhD research at Institut Jean Lamour (Nancy, France) and Montauniversität Leoben (Leoben, Austria), and in close collaboration with an industrial company. His PhD was about the numerical modeling of the electroslag remelting (ESR) process, with a focus on the energy transfers between the slag and the molten metal droplets.

Jérémy started at Aperam Stainless Europe Research Center in 2021, as Liquid Metal Processing Researcher. Since then, he gained experience and knowledge on smelting processes, and is now Senior Researcher for Recycling and Upstream processes, and managing the Aperam "Raw materials and Recycling" R&D program.

Jérémy's scope of research goes from lab-scale experiments and thermodynamics modeling to large-scale industrial tests.
