SYMPOSIUM and
ROUND TABLE TOPICS
Advanced magnesium alloys can be very beneficial in the practical applications that require lighter weight, higher biomedical compatibility, higher energy efficiency and higher degree of sustainability.
This SIPS symposium on Mg alloys is designed to serve as a key forum for scientists, engineers, researchers and end-users in academia and in industries with the aim to significantly enhance the maturity and sustainability of research and development processes toward the transition to these advanced Mg alloys.
For this year, the symposium topics could include:
- Applications and transition methodology
- Alloy design and development fundamentals - computational and experimental aspects
- Microstructure and strengthening mechanisms - LPSO, micro- and nano-layered structure, kink strengthening, and so on
- Fracture and fatigue
- Corrosion science and protection methodology
