Short Bio:Raphael Dias de Medeiros received his bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering from Escola de Minas (Federal University of Ouro Preto, Brazil) in 2009. He earned an MBA in Business Management, with a focus on finance and costs, from the Getúlio Vargas Foundation (FGV Salvador) in 2012. In 2018 he graduated as a Green Belt and in 2019 as a Black Belt from SETA Desenvolvimento Gerencial, focusing on cost reduction projects and reducing variability in the sintering process. He began his career at FERBASA, Cia de Ferro Ligas da Bahia, where he worked from 2009 to 2015. He was Production Coordinator for Low Carbon Chrome Iron, with experience in processes and in refractory maintenance for electric reduction furnaces, leading the refractory team during electric furnace shutdowns. During this period, he developed experience in ferroalloy metallurgy, crushing and refractories. In 2015, he moved into the technical area, as a Sintering Specialist at Arcelormittal Tubarão, working directly with iron ore agglomeration. He developed experience in the areas of combustion of gases and solids, furnaces, refractory projects and hot and cold agglomeration processes. In 2018, she graduated from the Industrial Combustion Course provided by the IPT (Technological Research Institute). In 2019, he helped develop the Automatic Control of the Burn Through Point of the Sintering Machine at Arcelormittal Tubarão. From 2020, he transitioned to Process Engineer at SAMARCO, working in the technical area of the pelletizing process, directly on projects focused on Induration Furnaces. |
