Jeff Kuret

Short Bio:

Dr.Kuret is Professor of Biological Chemistry & Pharmacology at the Ohio State University (OSU) College of Medicine. After completing his B.S. degree in biochemistry at the University of California, Los Angeles, and PhD in Pharmacology at Stanford University, he joined the the Medical Sciences Institute, Dundee, Scotland as a postdoctoral fellow, and served on the faculties of Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory and Northwestern University. At OSU he leads a laboratory focused primarily on tauopathic neurodegenerative diseases, and also serves as Co-director of an NIA sponsored U24 resource network for production and vetting of disease-derived tau conformers as well as an NIGMS-sponsored T32 training program in Molecular Biophysics.
