Short Bio:PhD in Forest Sciences (Chile, 2010); MSc in Agroforestry (Brazil, 1999); B.Sc.A. in Forest Engineering (Canada, 1995). His main research line is the study of carbon sequestration, GHG emissions and mitigation of climate change through the use of agroforestry and other land use systems, with a special emphasis on native forests and volcanic soils of the Andes. He is the director of the Ranchillo Alto Research & Teaching Forest at the University of Concepción. In 2020, he joined the editorial board of Agroforestry Systems as an associate editor. He is also a PEFC (Sustainable Forest Management & Chain of Custody) Lead Auditor for SAI Global/Intertek since 2002. |
