Short Bio:

Dr. Dominik Legut –IT4Innovations – czech national supercomuting centre, VSB -Technical University of Ostrava 143 international peer-reviewed publications with over 1900 citations and currently H-index 23 (Web of Science - June 2021), 11 invited talks (latest at AVS 2019 Columbus, Ohio, USA). Scientific achievements Dominik Legut finished his diploma(PhD) studies in Material Chemistry(Material Engineering) in 2000(2004), where he analyzed displasive transformation of metals and alloys. He explained the uniqueness of Po being the only element having simple cubic structure at RT (PRL 2007, PRB 2010). Later, he contributes to the linear and quadratic magneto-optical effects for ultrafast demagnetization phenomena (EPL 2009, PRL 2010, PNAS 2015, PRB 2016, PRB 2018, Sci. Adv. 2020). He concerns to the lattice vibrations (phonons), their phonon-phonon (PRB 2012, 2020), phonon-electron and spin-phonon interactions, magnetism (Nature Phys. 2020), spin-orbit coupling and MAE (PRB 2019), f-electron materials (JNM 2012, 2021, PRB 2016, 2020), ultrahard, magnetic and functinalized 2D solids (Phys. Rep.2019, Chem. Rev. 2019, PRL 2012, PRB 2010, PNAS 2019, Ene. Stor. 2019 ), etc. Academic milestones, relevant positions held, and obtained grants 2018-present Head of the Research Flagship: Material Design Towards Reality via Exascale Comp., 2017–2021 Head of Research Progrram No. 2, Path2Exascale project funded by Operational Programme Research, Development and Education Funds, No. CZ.02.1.01/0.0/0.0/16_013/ 0001791 (budget 503mil.
