Short Bio:Dr. Vincent Fournée is a CNRS research director at the Jean Lamour Institute. He received his Ph.D in 1998 from University Pierre and Marie Curie in Paris. During 1999-2001, he was a post-doctoral fellow at the Ames Laboratory (USA) and at Nagoya University (Japan). He joined the CNRS in Nancy in 2002. His research group ‘Metallurgy and Surfaces’ focus on the structure-property relationship in complex intermetallic compounds with large unit cells, using surface science methods and theoretical calculations. He has published > 130 publications in refereed journals, >20 invited talks, 7 patents, 5 book chapters, > 200 communications in international conferences. He has received a fellowship from the Monbusho (1998) and from the JSPS (2000) ; obtained a research Prize from the Region Lorraine (2006) ; a research Prize from the Industrial Society of the Est Region (2011). He has been PI or co-PI of more than 20 different projects in the field of complex intermetallics. |
