Short Bio:Eswaraiah Varrla received Ph.D. from Indian Institute of Technology Madras, Chennai (2012) on CNTs, graphene and nanocomposites under the supervision of Professor Ramaprabhu. He is currently working as Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics at SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Kattankulathur campus since August 2017. Before moving here, he worked as research fellow at Trinity College Dublin, Ireland, and Nanyang Technological University Singapore. He works in low-dimensional materials especially 2D materials such as graphene, MoS2, black phosphorus, Boron Nitride, other naturally occurring materials and develops efficient and sustainable processing techniques which find applications in sensors, printed electronics, composites, thermal and electronics applications. His current interest is sustainable production of 2D materials and their applications in coatings, creating new hetero-structures with improved properties and funded by Department of Science and Technology, India |
