Claudio Capiglia

Short Bio:

Claudio Capiglia has 20 years of experience in the batteries industry in Japan together with relevant academic experience in Europe and Japan. He received a Doctor of Chemistry (Physical Chemistry) from Pavia University in Italy, and the Doctor of Engineering from Mie University in Japan. He is an expert of research, development, manufacturing of battery materials and energy storage technologies and their applications in the automotive sector and integrated with the renewable energy production such as solar, wind, biomass. Since 2004 he has held executive technology positions in Multinational Japanese Corporations, he has been a Visiting Professor at the Politecnico di Torino, a Professor and battery group leader at the Italian Institute of Technology and is now a Visiting Professor at Nagoya Institute of Technology in Japan. He has served as Scientific Adviser to the Italian Consulate and Embassy in Japan, and currently serves on the boards of several Hi-tech companies.
