Research manager, chief metallurgist OVAKO OY AB, Imatra, 1970-1979 Professor of metallurgy at Helsinki University of Technology 1979-2009 when retired. Fields of expertise: fundamentals of metallurgical processes; recent research topics: energy saving and sustainability in processes, primary & secondary steelmaking Number of publications: over 250 articles in international journals and conference proceedings. Editor/author/co-author in books “Treatise on Process Metallurgy” Vol 3 Industrial Processes, Part A Ferrous Process Metallurgy 2014; Basics of Ferroalloys; In: Gasik, M.
