Short Bio:Dr. Sergey Komarov received his Ph.D in iron and steel engineering from the National University of Science and Technology in Moscow, Russia in 1985, and continued his postdoctoral study in Nagoya University, Japan. Since 1993, he worked in Nagoya University as an assistant professor, and then since 2000 in Tohoku University as an associate professor. From 2006 to 2014 he was a researcher and consultant on ultrasonic technologies at R&D center of Nippon Light Metal Co.,Ltd. Currently, he is a professor in Tohoku University, Japan. His research and teaching interests include high temperature physical chemistry, liquid metal processing, high-power ultrasonic and its application to materials processing. |
