Short Bio:Dr. Giuseppe Sciumè received his Master Degree in Civil Engineering (Structural Design) from Padua University with the grade of 110/110, in 2009. Then, within the context of a joint doctorate between University of Padua and ENS Cachan, he obtained his Ph.D. in 2013. After the doctorate, he worked as research assistant in the team of Prof. Bernhard Schrefler until the beginning of 2014, when he became non-tenured assistant professor at the University of Salento (Lecce). In 2015, he obtained his current position of associate professor at the Institute of Mechanics and Mechanical Engineering (UMR CNRS 5295) of Bordeaux. His teaching activity concerns in particular Structural and Solid Mechanics. Research interests are in mechanics of cement-based materials (hygro-thermo-mechanical behavior, creep, damage, creep-damage coupling), tumor growth modeling, and, more generally, in numerical modeling of heat and mass transport in deforming porous medium systems. |
