Short Bio:Dr. Natalia Laptash was educated at Novosibirsk State University in Novosibirsk, Russia. After graduating from the University, she works at the Institute of Chemistry of Far Eastern Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Vladivostok, Russia, where she got PhD and Doctor of Science (Habilitation). Today, she is a leading researcher at the Institute’s laboratory of Optical Materials. Dr. Laptash is the author or co-author of more than 120 scientific papers in International and Russian Journals. Her research interests mainly focus on synthesis and physicochemical properties of inorganic fluoride and oxide fluoride compounds. She is interested in fluoride processing of raw materials, including fluorination reactions of natural minerals with ammonium hydrogen difluoride (NH4HF2) and fluoride sample preparation for determination impurities and trace elements in silicon-containing materials. Since 1994 she has been a participant in most International and European Symposia on Fluorine Chemistry. She is a member of the American Chemical Society, Fluorine Division and a member of the Mendeleev Chemical Society in Russia. |
