Paola Rizzi

Short Bio:

Prof. RIZZI Paola obtained the PhD in Chemistry at the University of Turin (1997). From 2004 to 2014 she had a permanent position as a researcher at the Department of Chemistry where she is now an Associated Professor. Her research activity was mainly developed at the Department of Chemistry, University of Turin, Italy and collaborations were established with national and international laboratories. Her research activity is focused on metallic systems synthesised with advanced techniques in order to obtain metastable systems with advanced properties. Amorphous alloys of various compositions were produced by rapid solidification techniques or copper mould casting. Nanoporous metals were synthesised by dealloying in different conditions, obtaining SERS active substrates and nanomaterials with high catalytic activity.
