Hirokazu Konishi

Short Bio:

He studied physical chemistry and electrochemistry in Kyoto University from 1997 to 2002. The title of doctor thesis is “Formation of Dy Alloy Films by Molten Salt Electrochemical Process”. He received PhD (Doctor of Energy Science) from Kyoto University on January 2003. He worked new copper recycle process using electrolysis from ammonia solution as a research associate in National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST in Japan) from 2002 to 2003. He has been working ironmaking, sintering of iron oxide and recycling of rare earth as an assistant professor in Osaka University from 2004 up to now. His main works are (1) Formation and Phase Control of Dy Alloy Films by Electrochemical Implantation and Displantation, (2) Formation of Dy-Fe Alloy Films by Molten Salt Electrochemical Process, (3) The Preparation and Reduction Behavior of Carbon Composite Iron Oxide Pellets Using Semi-coal-char, (4) Effect of Residual Volatile Matter on Reduction Reaction between Semi-coal-char and Iron Oxide, (5) Effect of Residual Volatile Matter on Reduction of Iron Oxide in Semi-charcoal Composite Pellets, (6) Characteristic of Proton Conductor Prepared by Spark Plasma Sintering in the Simulated Coke Oven Gas, (7) Selective Separation of Rare Earth Metals by Molten Salt Electrolysis and Alloy Diaphragm, (8) Kinetics of Iron Carburization via Slag Containing Sulfur at 1723 K, (9) Combustion Behavior of Coated Cokes with Fine Fe3O4 and CaO, and (10) Electrochemical Reduction of Rare Earth Ions in Molten Chloride, He recieved Molten Salt Young Researcher from Molten Salt Committee of the Electrochemical Society of Japan in 2009, ISIJ Young Researcher Award in 2010 and Nishiyama Commemorative Prize to be in March, 2019, both from The Iron and Steel Institute of Japan.
