Metallurgical Engineer (2001), by Universidad Nacional de Ingenieri-UNI (Peru), with a Master's (2004) & Doctor Science (2008) in Materials Engineering and Metallurgy by Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro-Brazil, and post-doctorate by six months at same university (2008). Senior Technological Researcher I at "Instituto General de Investigacion - UNI" . Is a Professor at UNI at Materials and Metallurgical Department FIGMM UNI and founding partner and president of the board of directors of Minerals, Materials and Metallurgy Peruvian Association-APMMM. Has published 2 papers in scientific journals, and more than 40 papers and 30 abstracts in conference proceedings.
Has been working on the following subjects: characterization and reduction by CO-CO2 mixtures gases of zinc ferrite pure and the zinc ferrite present into Electric Arc Furnace Dusts - EAFD using different techniques as such: X Ray Diffraction (using the Rietveld method), Transmission Microscopy Electronics and Scanning Microscopy Electronics. Has researches that had been reported onsets with the characterization of the compounds present in EAFD - Iron (III) oxide, zinc oxide & zinc ferrite - using techniques, methodologies and equipments for thermal characterization (DTA-TGA), structural (XRD), microscopic (SEM-TEM coupled to EDS), physical (briquette porosity, specific gravity, average size & particle specific surface) and chemical analysis.

Dr. Nehemias Lima Lacerda received his Ph.D. in Aeronautics (Caltech 1987), M.Sc. in Aeronautics (Caltech 1983), Master in Aeronautical Engineering (ITA 1982) and Aeronautical Engineer (ITA 1978). Since 2003, he has been Scientific Director at FEMTO Applied Sciences. His career has also included serving as: Officer of the Reserve at Brazilian Air Ministry (Colonel – since 2003); Head of New Projects for the Command of Logistics Support at the Brazilian Air Command (2001 – 2003); Head of the Supersonic Combustion Project at the Institute for Advanced Studies (1999 – 2001); Director of Administration at the Aeronautical Institute of Technology (1996 – 1997); Head of the Propulsion Division at the Aerospace Technical Center (1994 – 1996); Head of the Space Systems Division at the Aerospace Technical Center (1990 – 1994); Professor at the Aeronautical Institute of Technology on Aerodynamics and Applied Physics of Fluids for undergraduate and graduate levels (1979 – 1990). His expertise is focused on: optimization of industrial products and processes; adaptation of aerospace and defense technologies for industrial optimization purposes; mathematical description of physical processes; computer simulation in fem and cfd to characterize and optimize industrial products and processes; provision of engineering solutions for troubleshooting, optimization, and conceptual design of industrial products and processes. His past experiences include the conception of engineering solutions for products and industrial processes through Computational Simulation, Aerospace Spin-off, Sustainability and Biomimicry concepts for sectors such as: Aeronautics, Aluminum, Automotive, Carbon Fiber, Energy, Food, Glass, Health, Personal Care, Personal Products, Propulsion, Pulp and Paper, Space, Sugar and Alcohol. The emphasis were on structural dynamics, generalized fluid flow including magnetohydrodynamics, combustion, and respective effects such as flow permeability, shock waves, turbulence, noise reduction and heat transfer. He is an associated member of Technical and Scientific Committee at Siemens VDO (2005 – 2007), American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (since 1982), SIGMA-XI Scientific Society (since 1986), Caltech Alumni Association (since 1983), and ITA Engineers Association (since 1979).

Recebeu o seu diploma de engenharia civil na Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG - 1977) e, posteriormente, recebeu seu MBA em Gestão na Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV), e especializado em "International Strategic Business Leadership" na Universidade de Ohio (USA). Mr. Valladares is a 1984 graduate of the Federal University of Minas Gerais - Belo Horizonte - Brazil with a B.S. in Civil Engineering. He has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Southern Methodist University (SMU), Dallas, TX, in 1986. He has been involved in the Pig Iron Industry for over 30 years and has participated at Viena Siderúrgica S/A since its start up in 1988 in the State of Maranhão.
Today he is the Vice President and Commercial Director of Viena which forms the V.P.S. Channel and is one of the largest exporters of Pig Iron in Brazil. The Company has five mini blast furnaces in Maranhão and one in Minas Gerais with annual installed capacity of over 500,000 MT per year.
Viena is an industry leader with state of the art technology, including a Pulverized Charcoal Injection (P.C.I.) system, a Sinter and a Power plant and one mine. A pioneer in reforestation, Viena has achieved self-sustainability due to its 44,000 hectares reforested with clones of high productivity.
The Viena Group also invests in civil construction and real state, cattle raising, pig farm, orange and cachaça production with more than 2,000 employees.
